Vero Cell Test of Diphtheria Toxoid Vaccines
Vero (African green monkey kidney) cells and MTT dye is added to wells containing either bacterial culture filtrates or reference diphtheria toxin. Vero cell viability is measured by observing the absorbance at 570 nm.
