In Vitro Comet Assay (Single-Cell Gel Electrophoresis [SCGE] Technique)

Cells in culture are treated with the test compound. The cells are then lysed and their DNA is run on a gel. If the DNA is damaged, the migrated pieces can be detected through staining.
